Admittedly, this is one of the few instances where I like Neo Queen Serenity (aside from Usagi’s transformations into her directly, where she needs to be handlin’ her business). Something about her has always put me off, as in both the anime in the manga, she seems to lack the warmth that’s so charming about Usagi. I can’t put my finger on the reason, but something about most of Chibiusa’s interactions with her parents seem icy. I’ve never liked it. It sounds odd to say, but she just never seems that happy to be with them, and likewise, they never seem particularly chuffed when she’s with them. I don’t get it.
